The Presbyterian Women of St. John's have had a long and prominent place within the church. This year we are celebrating 50 Years of Service to the WMS, St. John's and our Community. They are affiliated with what is presently known as the Women's Missionary Society. Our monthly offerings go directly to them who in turn support the wider missions of The Presbyterian Church in Canada as well as around the world.
We are active within the church and our community all through the year, although we do take a break during July and August. During the year we attend the Fall and Spring Rally of the WMS Society. We also take part in World Day of Prayer which is held on the 1st Friday of every March. This is a time where the Women of the local churches get together and lead a worship service devised by women from around the world. Stay tuned for more information for World Day of Prayer 2018. This year we participated in Habitat for Humanity and made lunch for the volunteers at the home build in Grimsby.
Our first get together will be Monday November 18, 2019. Tonight we will be making Christmas Cards. We welcome all women of St. John's to join us for any and all meetings.
