Thank you for the kind donation your congregation is making to the FORT and giving me the opportunity to speak about what the FORT does. Below is a paragraph outlining what the FORT does and our mission in the community:

 

“The FORT is a local, not-for-profit youth centre that provides free recreational programs and resource services to youth in our community. These programs include cooking club, arts & crafts, games, computers, field trips, homework/employment help and assistance with post-secondary applications such as university, college, and trade schools all with the aim of combatting social isolation, making new friends, and building towards the future. The FORT also offers resources such as free mental health counselling, crisis intervention, food insecurity, and homelessness. The aim of these programs and resources is to see youth in our community succeed in their transition to adulthood.”
