Prayer starter: God of holiness, as we clear what is unnecessary from our
lives, search our hearts and make us ready to begin Lent with humility,
honesty, and a renewed desire for you.

Prayer starter: Lord, we return to you not because we have earned our way back,
but because your mercy is greater than our sin, and your grace is deeper than

Prayer starter: God of truth, forgive us for the ways we have accepted what was
never righteous, and teach us to repent not only of personal sin but also of

Prayer starter: God of new beginnings, let this season of Lent be more than a
