    LABOUR DAY

"Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23–24 (NRSV)

Prayer Starter: Lord, we confess how easily our work becomes a frantic ladder to climb for our own identity and security, so grant us the grace to see our daily labor not as a burden to be escaped, but as a theater to love our neighbors and serve the King who labored all the way to a cross for us.

    REST AND RENEWAL

"For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it." — Exodus 20:11 (NRSV)

Prayer Starter: Father, as we step away from the machinery of our productivity, redeem our imaginations to embrace the holy cadence of Sabbath—where work is checked, play is enjoyed without guilt, and we remember that we are beloved children before we are ever useful workers.
